Psychedelic Newspaper

These guys are one of my biggest design inspirations. We had to pick either a designer or a genre of design to research and design something to educate others on our topic. I’ve always been a huge fan of psychedelic art and posters, so I decided to go with the big five of psychedelic posters from the 60’s/70’s. I originally thought of doing posters to match their specific styles. Still, it would have been harder to show all the information about these guys and the history of the design style, so I went with a newspaper that gave each of them their page to tell their design stories. I included an advertisement/coupon insert related to relevant topics at the time.

What I learned: This was one of my first times working with an outside printing company, I used the Newspaper Club to get these printed and they were wonderful to work with. It gave me experience planning accordingly to have time to get things printed and shipped before due dates.
